Ashley HomeStores Donate Beds to Florida Hurricane Victims

Ashley HomeStoresHope to Dream program recently partnered with United Way of FloridaSuncoast to help victims of Hurricane Irma by donating 150 twin beds with bedding to children in need.

Employees from Ashley facilities in Tampa and Brandon, Fla., volunteered to help with deliveries of the beds.

“Ashley HomeStore and the Hope to Dream program are proud to support our local communities and those who were affected by Hurricane Irma earlier this year,” said Greg Kammer, executive vice president of retail operations for Ashley Global Retail. “Though it will take time to rebuild the damage that was endured, we hope this donation will help these children and their families in this process.”

Ted Granger, president of United Way Florida said, “United Way and the communities we serve are so grateful to Ashley HomeStore for this most generous contribution. It will help children and families victimized by Hurricane Irma continue to rebuild their lives and rest easy in the knowledge that when disaster strikes, even in these divisive times, all of us – individuals, nonprofits, and businesses – unite to help one another.”

The Hope to Dream program provides beds to less fortunate children across the U.S. and Canada. A portion of the proceeds for every mattress purchased at one of the 435 participating Ashley HomeStores helps pay for beds for children in need.
