Aico Walkers Raise $36K for City of Hope Cancer Research

A group of 70 walkers representing Aico raised more than $36,000 for women’s cancer research at the City of Hope during the recent “Walk for Hope” on the City of Hope campus.

Known as the “Aico All-Stars” and led by Aico President Martin Ploy, the team consisted of Aico employees, family members, close friends and other furniture industry associates.

“I am so proud of our team,” said Ploy. “Every year we dedicate ourselves to raising money for this Walk for Hope. We're very proud of our ongoing commitment to City of Hope to help fight women's cancer, and hope we inspire others to join the fight, as well.”

The Walk for Hope event provides funds to support City of Hope’s efforts to push the boundaries of science to advance research and treatments on behalf of women everywhere.

“We’ve been very fortunate to receive donations from many of our dealers and other industry friends,” Ploy added. “The tremendous support from Michael Amini and the Aico family have made the Aico All-Stars one of the most consistent and best fundraising teams.”
