Mark Fierek Named Chairman of Specialized Furniture Carriers

The group, which has been a unit of the American Home Furnishings Alliance since 2009, serves niche carriers who specialize in the transportation and delivery of residential furniture.

Richard Tucker of Shelba D. Johnson Trucking in High Point, N.C., is first vice chairman for 2018, and Steve Ennis of Murrow’s Transfer, Thomasville, N.C., is second vice chair.

Freddie Davis, Global Shippers Association LLC, Lenoir, N.C., is serving a one-year board term on the board, while Marcus Cary of Wiseway Transportation Services, Hudson, Wisc., is serving a two-year term.

Directors with terms expiring at the end of 2020 include Bill Smith, CV International, Charlotte, N.C.; Anthony Brooks, Brooks-Dehart Furniture Xpress Inc., Newton, N.C.; and Daryl Spyksma, Dejong Enterprises, Ontario, Canada.
