Ashley HomeStore’s Hope to Dream program recently hosted a charity event for 50 needy children as its Sacramento, Calif., store on North Freeway Boulevard.
Ashley officials said the children attended a fall Harvest Festival, where they were able to participate in pumpkin bowling, face painting, a jump house and more. The festival served hamburgers, hot dogs, candy apples and other fun fall foods to fuel the attendees.
And to top off the festivities, each child received a twin memory foam mattress, metal frame with slats, sheet set and pillow.
“Seeing the expressions on the families’ faces and knowing the children have a comfortable bed to sleep on energizes our team to continue to reach out and help,” said Ricardo Gonzalez, regional manager for Ashley HomeStore. “We are honored to be a part of this wonderful program and make a difference in our community.”
Hope to Dream (Enterprise West) has provided 2,700 beds so far this year. The program is on track to reach a goal of 5,000 beds by the end of 2017.
Founded in 2010, the Hope to Dream program nationwide has provided a new bed to more than 50,000 children. A portion of the proceeds for every mattress purchased at a participating Ashley Furniture HomeStore helps pay for a mattress set for a child in need.
