Houston-based Classy Art, a resource for wall art and décor, has been named to the Cougar 100, a University of Houston program that recognizes the 100 fastest-growing companies in the world that are led by university alumni.
The family-owned Classy Art qualified for the list due to growth of more than 40% in each of the past four years.
The university said more than 4,000 companies worldwide are owned and led by UH alumni, and the Cougar 100 demonstrates that its alumni are among the finest commercial and industry leaders in the world.
The listing not only celebrates their success, but also gives Cougars a point of pride and achievement to share with the entire community, the school said.
Classy art owners Gabriel and Jonathan Cohen are both University of Houston graduates.
“We are truly honored to be recognized by our alma mater, the community and the industry in which we serve,” said Gabriel Cohen.
The company was founded in 1987 by Biatriz and Isaac Cohen.
