Scott Doughman Named President of Hayneedle

Online retailer Hayneedle, which sells indoor and outdoor home furnishings and décor, has named Scott Doughman as its new president.

Doughman brings more than 20 years of experience with media and technology to the Hayneedle team. As the former vice president of global partnerships at Yahoo, Doughman worked with several of the world’s largest marketers to drive customer experience and brand awareness focused on the use of content and digital advertising.

Prior to Yahoo, Doughman worked in strategic planning, corporate development and product management roles at Sungard, Booz Allen & Hamilton, FedEx and Price Waterhouse.

“I am thrilled to be joining Hayneedle for the next phase of its growth which we will drive through a company-wide focus on customer experience,” said Doughman. “Our parent brand, Walmart, is changing the future of online commerce, and Hayneedle sits in a unique position to make that future a reality.

“Collectively, we will be the leader in the home industry and pave the way for millions of people to create living spaces they love by continuing to offer quality product at a great value, alongside engaging content that will empower the customer.”

In addition, the retailer said Anthony Soohoo had been named senior vice president and general manager of the Walmart e-commerce home group.

Soohoo, the founder and former CEO of Dot & Bo, the first home furnishing brand for the millennial generation, grew the start-up into one of the fastest growing commerce companies from 2013 to 2015.

Prior to that, he served as the senior vice president and general manager of the Entertainment Division at CBS Interactive. He joined CBS with its acquisition of Dotspotter, where he served as co-founder and CEO. Soohoo has also worked in product and leadership positions at Yahoo, Inktomi and Apple.

In his new role, he will be responsible for accelerating Walmart’s U.S. e-commerce growth in the home category across Walmart.com, Hayneedle and Jet.

Doughman will lead the Hayneedle team out of the company’s corporate headquarters in Omaha, Neb., while Soohoo will head the Home Group in San Bruno, Calif., at Walmart e-commerce corporate headquarters.
