Ashley Transportation Unit Honored by Transplace

The Carrier of the Year Award recognizes transportation service providers for consistent high performance in specific shipment execution areas, including on-time service, tender acceptance, claims, SmartWay score, and ease of doing business factors such as customer service, responsiveness, and the accuracy and timeliness of invoicing and status updates.

Officials said the selection process is based on companywide, quantitative data as well as survey feedback from Transplace account teams. This year, 16 transportation service providers were recognized in the categories of truckload, less-than-truckload, flatbed, private fleet, dedicated, refrigerated and expedite.

This award would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of the entire Ashley Distribution team,” said John Leighty, executive vice president of transportation and distribution for Ashley. “I am very excited about the opportunities ahead for Ashley Distribution Services as we continue to grow our fleet and our business beyond delivering furniture.”
