Pier 1 Names Darla Ramirez Interim CFO

Darla Ramirez, who has been vice president, controller and principal accounting officer at Pier 1 Imports (NYSE: PIR) since 2011, has been named interim chief financial officer.
She is replacing Jeffrey Boyer, who’s resignation as executive vice president and chief financial officer was effective earlier this week.
Ramirez joined Pier 1 in 2005, and she has held positions of increasing responsibility within the finance organization, including director of finance and director of accounting operations.
Earlier in her career, she held financial roles in the media industry, most recently as corporate controller for Lionheart Newspapers LLC.
The company said a search for a permanent replacement is underway.
