Retail technology provider Storis will unveil its recently developed kiosk technology, which provides a seamless transition from a furniture store’s website to the in-store experience, at the upcoming High Point Market.
Storis officials said the kiosk system not only has a retailer’s inventory, but can access the customer’s shopping history on the store’s website – including the contents of the shopping cart.
“Storis has designed their Kiosk to be the bridge between the at-home and traditional in-store technology experiences,” the company said in a statement announcing the kiosk unveiling. “Customers first start engaging with retailers through their website in their homes. When they do decide to shop that product in-store, the kiosk allows them to pick up right where they left off.”
The company said the sales person can view the customer’s selections in their cart, which allows them to focus on the desires price points and styles.
The sales person can also access the customer’s cart on a mobile POS tablet when moving around the showroom, with data updating from the Kiosk in real-time.
Storis’ High Point showroom is space 1-527, in the Home Furnishings Association’s Retailer Resource Center on the first floor of Plaza Suites.
