Market Podcasts to Feature ‘Million Dollar Decorating’ Founder
Developed to offer attendees yet another digital channel through which they can receive timely market news, event updates, key market debuts, experiences and reports, this program will release three podcasts through the Million Dollar Decorating website and social media channels each day of market.
Each podcast will be hosted and produced by Swan and will last approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
“We are excited to team up again with James and bring his podcast series to Fall Market as a service for our attendees,” said Tom Conley, president and CEO of the Market Authority. “We were the first trade show to partner with James by sponsoring a podcast in advance of Spring Market, and that was received really well by our followers and James’ listeners. This program is a natural next step for our partnership, especially as we continue to see the increased relevancy and usefulness of podcasts.”
Market Buzz podcasts will run in the morning and afternoon, followed by a thorough daily recap each evening. Each podcast will incorporate a mix of video and audio content and will be live-streamed and posted to www.milliondollardecorating.com, iTunes, SoundCloud, You Tube Live, Google Hangout and Facebook Live.
Each podcast will also be promoted on Million Dollar Decorating’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram platforms, as well as its own Instagram channel, @market__buzz.
“It is an immense honor to be able to cover the largest home furnishings trade show in the world,” said Swan. “With so many debuts, must-attend events, celebrity appearances, showroom openings and more, I’m not quite sure how I’ll fit it all into 15 podcasts, but that’s a challenge I’m certainly open to embracing”
Since its inception, Million Dollar Decorating podcasts have been downloaded more than 900,000 times, and the audience continues to grow weekly thanks to Swan’s mix of entertainment and information about the worlds of design, decorating and beautiful living. Listeners include members of the interior design community and enthusiastic homeowners.
Swan himself is an award-winning interior designer and author who has spent the last 18 years crafting classically influenced interiors for homes, restaurants, hotels and retail stores. His work has been featured in House & Garden, House Beautiful, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe and The Chicago Tribune, and his book “101 Things I Hate About Your House” won the 2011 American Bookseller’s Award.
