Tuuci Umbrella Wins ‘Best of Show’ at Casual Market

The Ocean Master Max outdoor umbrella from Tuuci, which features an integrated lighting system, won the Lillian B. Winchester “Best of Show” award during the recent Casual Market Chicago.
The umbrella system, designed by Dougan Clarke, was one of numerous casual furniture products, retailers, manufacturers, designers and sales representatives honored at the International Casual Furniture Association’s annual awards gala.
Ocean Master Max also won the Lilly Award for the top product in the outdoor accents category.
The Apollo Awards for retail excellence in sales and marketing went to Sunnyland Furniture in Dallas in the single-store category, while Outside in Style, a three-store chain based in Austin, Texas, won the award for the multi-store category.
The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for exemplary contributions to the casual furniture industry and their communities went to Petey Fleischut, founder of Casual Marketplace in Hockessin, Del., and Oliver Ma, founder of Treasure Garden in Baldwin Park, Calif.
In addition, O.W. Lee was named “Manufacturer of the Year” for the sixth consecutive year, and Scott Ellis, an independent sales rep for Brown Jordan, Tropitone and American Leather, was named sales representative of the year.
