Art Van Taps Retail Veteran Keri Durkin for Franchise Development Post

Midwest furniture and mattress retailer Art Van has announced that retail veteran Keri Durkin has joined the company as vice president franchise development, reporting to Steve Glucksman, senior vice president of business development.

In this newly created position, Durkin will oversee the growth and operations of the company’s franchise division. 

Kim Yost, president and CEO of Art Van Furniture said, “Keri is a franchising champion and embraces her role with enthusiasm, conquers challenges with smart strategy and has a stellar history of success. Her expertise and dynamic leadership style are invaluable to Art Van Furniture as we continue to grow our franchise system.” 

Durkin comes to Art Van Furniture from Ashley HomeStore, where she held the position of senior vice president of licensee operations. She previously held numerous senior leadership roles at Sears Hometown Stores, World Kitchen and Kohl’s. 

“It is a professional thrill to join Art Van Furniture to help steer franchising growth at this iconic retailer,” said Durkin. “I’ve long admired the talent and tenacity of the company as well as its leadership team. Big plans are under way to drive further growth for Art Van and our franchise partners.”

Durkin holds a bachelor of arts degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin.
