HPMA and Fashion Snoops to Offer Trend Program and Buyer’s Guide

The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) and trend-forecasting agency Fashion Snoops are partnering to provide market attendees with access to 2018 trend insights during the Fall Market taking place October 14-18.

Offerings will include a trend presentation, trend team booth pop-ups around the market district, a digital trend report and a buyer’s guide.

The program will kick-off on Fri., October 12, one day before the official opening of Fall Market in the Universal Furniture showroom, with a trend presentation titled “Culture to Product, A Forward Look into Spring 2018 Market Trends”.

Featuring Home Interiors Creative Director, Jaye Anna Mize, the session will look ahead to 2018 to identify key cultural shifts that will drive consumer behavior, desire, and product design.

“The home interiors market is having a moment. Consumers are experimenting, embellishing, and developing their eye for design faster than ever,” commented Mize.

“The vast online retail movement has paved the way for personalization and convenience, as consumers crave to be involved and well educated about their purchasing decisions. These cultural trends will shape our world in the months to come, and understanding them now should help you make better buying decisions at Fall Market,” Mize continued.

Attendees at Friday’s presentation will receive the Fashion Snoops Buyer’s Guide to High Point Market, featuring trending Spring 2018 product examples from exhibitors at Market. They will also receive a free digital download of an in-depth trend report and trend insights not yet available to even Fashion Snoops subscribers.

Immediately following the program, Universal Furniture and Steelyard will host a happy hour meet and greet event in the Steelyard Designer’s Lounge at Universal.

Market-goers unable to attend the presentation will have the opportunity to meet the Fashion Snoops team and pick up the trend report and buyer’s guide at several trend booth pop-ups around the market district.

The first pop-up will occur on Sat., October 14, in the pre-function area of the High Point Theatre from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. in conjunction with the Keynote Series event featuring Drew and Jonathan Scott.

A second pop-up will occur on Sun., October 15, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. in the Phillips Collection showroom on the second floor of IHFC. For all pop-ups, the Fashion Snoops team will be on-hand, ready to answer trend inquiries.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Fashion Snoops and be able to share these in-depth trend reports with High Point Market attendees,” commented Tom Conley, president and CEO of the High Point Market Authority.

“Their cultural and home trend expertise will allow our attendees to develop an even more in-depth understanding of upcoming trends, which will give them a real competitive edge,” Conley said.

A preview of the Fashion Snoops trend insights is currently available on the “Products and Trends” page of the High Point Market website. Read the full article at http://www.highpointmarket.org/products-and-trends/fashion-snoops-market-report.
