Reverie Names Westerman to Key Operations Post

Adjustable bed producer Reverie has named Michael Westerman vice president of operations, a new position for the company.

The company said Westerman, an experienced supply chain executive, will drive the company’s increasing focus on domestic production. He reports to Leo Vera, chief operating officer.

Prior to joining Reverie, Westerman was with Deloitte Consulting in the firm’s manufacturing and supply chain practice, where he had worked for seven years. During his tenure at Deloitte, he focused on turnarounds, operations improvements and supply chain optimization in several industries.

“Made in America is a winning proposition for everybody – the consumer, our retail partners, our employees and us,” said Martin Rawls-Meehan, president and CEO of Reverie. “There truly is no place like home, and we’re proud that we are making so many Reverie bases in the U.S.A. With Michael, we are better understanding nearly limitless benefits of domestic production and we are excited to add one more component to our growing domestic program that will give our retail partners the meticulous Reverie quality they expect in an all-American product.”

At the Las Vegas Market, which begins Sunday, the company will introduce an expanded lineup of power adjustable bases made in the U.S. With the product roll-out, seven top-selling Reverie bases will be designed, engineered and made domestically.

The company said the domestic quick-delivery program will increase Reverie’s flexibility and responsiveness to its customers, while eliminating the need for retailers to tie up cash in stocked inventory. Balanced inventory forecasting and limited supply chain disruptions are key aspects of the domestic move.

Reverie’s Las Vegas showroom is space B-925.
