BOLD Summit Honors Design Visionary Pamela Babey

Pamela BabeyThe Business of Luxury Design (BOLD) Summit, a business conference for principal designers, has announced Pamela Babey, luxury design visionary and co-founder of Bamo, as the third and final winner of the BOLD Master Award.

All three BOLD Master Award winners will present to fellow principal designers at the 2017 BOLD Summit taking place Sept. 25-27 at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago.

Babey attributes her love and appreciation for arts, antiques and fashion to her early years of traveling and submerging herself in various cultures and artifacts. After graduating from U.C. Berkeley, Babey began designing for renowned international offices such as Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and others. In 1991 she co-founded Bamo, an interior design firm in San Francisco and started designing for hotels, residences and yachts.

Among numerous honors and awards, Babey has been featured in the N.Y. AIA exhibition, V’Soske Rugs by Architects: Architecture in Transition for her collaboration with V’Soske. Her projects have been feature in books and magazines including Fortuny Interiors, Luxury Hotels Europe and Town & Country.

Some of Babey’s most notable work can be found in luxury properties like the Four Seasons Hotels in Milan and Bora Bora and the Grand Hotel a Villa Feltrinelli on Lago di Garda.

To honor her work with design, Interior Design added her to its prestigious Hall of Fame.
