FitzGerald Named Chief Commercial Officer at Star Furniture

In her new post, FitzGerald will work with Bob Price, who was named CEO earlier this month, and the executive leadership team to drive development and execution of Star’s forward-looking commercial strategy.

“Learning all about Star and the opportunities for our organization, it became clear that adding this position will help to greatly accelerate the growth of our business,” explained Price. “Jodi brings one of the most unique and collaborative management styles in the industry. Her success and vision are unparalleled and will be very beneficial to our efforts to grow our business and support the over 750 professional men and women of Star Furniture.”

FitzGerald, like Price, comes to Star from Art Van Furniture, where she was vice president of merchandising, e-commerce and clearance center. Prior to that, she was executive director for furniture and mattresses at Conn’s Inc., and was president and CEO of Door Store Furniture from 1998-2011.

“I have a strong desire to grow business, increase market share, and bring creative approaches to address opportunities,” said FitzGerald. “I am very excited to work alongside the entire Star team, as together, we grow our brand.”

FitzGerald will focus on growth through marketing and advertising, merchandising, visual presentation and Star’s evolving online presence. Reporting to Price, she also will ensure business excellence and leadership across all staff and vendor partners.
