“We pursued both copyright and patent protection of Arch. Salvage because of the level of detail, thought and design put into each piece of this collection,” said Adam Tilley, senior vice president of product and marketing. “We are proud of the creativity of our design team and are thrilled the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is recognizing for patent protection on our unique designs.”
The 36-piece whole home collection is inspired by architectural features from old European structures and was created to address the vintage, restoration, and authenticity movement that has become increasingly popular among consumers. The company said the customer is given the impression that the pieces were created anew by artisan craftsmen using today’s sensibilities.
“We will aggressively defend our designs to protect our dealers against knock-offs should unauthorized competition arise,” said Jeff Cook, CEO of A.R.T. Furniture. “We are also looking at worldwide patents to protect our designs from all directions. Our proprietary design reflects how well our design team listens to our customer needs and finds innovation solution to fit those needs.”
