Wall décor manufacturer Classy Art has hired Blake Johnson as its new vice president.
The company said Johnson, who most recently worked for outdoor furniture producer Hinkle Chair, brings a wide array of expertise to the new post, from working with independent retailers to big box stores.
“We are so excited to have Blake come on board with us. He is a longtime friend, and now he is part of the Classy Art family,” said Classy Art President Gabriel Cohen.
Cohen said the company has recorded double-digit growth every year since 2005, including a 52% jump in 2016, and the addition of Johnson is an essential part of the strategy to minimize any growth pains.
“I’ve spent years watching Classy Art grow at incredible rates, because of the high energy owners, and I am just fired up to now be a part of it,” said Johnson. “The passion and enthusiasm they have is electric and quite contagious. It shows in the culture amongst all the company’s employees.”
