Slinger to Oversee Specialty Products at Symbol Mattress

In her new post, Slinger will be responsible for managing Symbol’s climate-controlled SleepFresh specialty brand and will assist in the development of an innovative sleep system the producer plans to launch next year.  She will report to Symbol President Mike McQuiston.

“Nicole’s skill set and knowledge of specialty products and retail is something you don’t find every day,” McQuiston noted.  “We’re very excited to have her on our team.”

Slinger most recently was vice president of business development and field training for London Luxury LLC, a global textiles firm providing high quality bedding and bath products to major U.S. retailers like Bed, Bath and Beyond, Mattress Firm and Macy’s.  She had held that post since 2013.

Earlier, Slinger was private brands product manager for the Mattress Firm retail chain, overseeing home furnishings and bedding products under a number of private brands including Lux Living, YuMe and Hampton & Rhodes Select. 

From 2006-11, she served as national sales account trainer for Kingsdown Bedding’s Sleep to Live program, and also was a West Coast key account manager for Spring Air’s Nature’s Rest brand from 2003-06.

“Nicole’s appointment is extremely timely for us because we’ve been gaining a lot of traction in the specialty sleep arena and needed someone to manage that segment’s growth,” McQuiston said.
