Bedding accessories producer Malouf has won the American Inhouse Design Award from Graphic Design USA for the second straight year.
The most recent award was given for the design of its interactive Las Vegas Market invitation.
“Pushing the boundaries of product design and graphic design has always been part of our culture,” said Sam Malouf, CEO. “We want our packaging and marketing materials to be as exciting and inviting as our showroom space, and we have a superbly talented group of designers at Malouf that always deliver something that stands out.”
The award-winning piece was a print invitation for Las Vegas Market that served as a teaser campaign for the launch of the company’s CarbonCool pillow, a graphite-infused memory foam pillow with a proprietary surface coating of Omniphase phase change material known for its ability to respond to and regulate temperature.
“We wanted to come up with a piece that would give a glimpse of something unique and intriguing, something that felt like our Las Vegas showroom experience,” said Olivia Godfrey, Malouf graphic designer. “To hint at our newest pillow and pique interest for our latest technology, we printed the invitations with thermochromic ink accents that responded to temperature when touched.”
This marks the second consecutive year Malouf has won the Inhouse Design Award for its Las Vegas showroom invitation.
The company previously earned two national design awards for its French Linen sheet packaging, as well as a Gold award from the International Design Awards for its Italian Collection sheet packaging.
The company said all of its award-winning projects will be on display in showroom C-1540 at the upcoming Las Vegas Market, which takes place July 30 - Aug 3.
