Fill Station Group, a “retailtainment” program that allows consumers to build a custom pillow from scratch, is sponsoring a pair of seminars at next month’s Las Vegas Market featuring social media expert Jeff Evans.
Evans, who owns a Salt Lake City digital marketing and public relations firm called Social Dealer Connect, will lead a seminar, “Social Media Survey Results: What Do You Want to Know,” at the Home Furnishings Association Retailer Resource Center at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 30.
Specific topics covered during the seminar will be based on the results of survey of retailers being conducted by HFA, who asked retailers what they wanted to know about effective use of social media.
A second Evans seminar will take place at 3 p.m. Monday, July 31 in the Fill Station showroom, B-270-05. This presentation is titled “Social Media and Retail: How to Rise Above the Noise,” and will feature tools, tactics, strategy and best practices for social media.
"We are extremely enthusiastic about working with Jeff and his team,” said Vannie Morisey, director of business development at Fill Station. “As we all know, digital media marketing is ever-evolving and here to stay.
“We know that growing a digital community around their brand can be overwhelming to many retailers. Partnering with Jeff and his learning event at our booth on top social media trends of 2017 will be a valuable resource for market attendees."
Fill Station was launched in 2014 by Arthur Watkins, a mattress retailer in Spring Hill, Tenn., to help retailers compete with e-commerce merchants by driving traffic and building a repeat customer base. The pillow-building kiosks already have been installed in more than two dozen retail stores.
At the Las Vegas Market, Fill Station is offering $1,000 worth of restocking coupons for retailers who sign up for the program during market.
