Vispring Unveils $46,000 Mattress at Bloomingdale’s

British luxury bedding producer Vispring has launched a new partnership with Bloomingdale’s that features four sleep sets that are being sold at select locations.
The Vispring line-up is led by the $46,000 St. James mattress, headboard and divan. It is the highest-priced mattress on the showroom floor of the high-end department store.
The beds will be sold exclusively at Bloomingdale’s flagship store on 59th street in New York City, as well as stores in Roosevelt Field and White Plains, N.Y.; Chestnut Hill, Mass.; Medinah and Chicago, Ill., and Short Hills, N.J.
Handcrafted by English artisans, Vispring officials said the St. James mattress uses some of the world’s finest materials and craftmanship, such as three layers of hand-nested calico pocket springs, horsetail, Platinum Certified British fleece wool, organic cotton, cashmere, alpaca and Mulberry silk, and five rows of hand-sewn side-stitching.
In addition to the mattresses, Vispring offers customizable divan and headboard sets with a variety of designs and fabrics suitable for classic or contemporary décor.

Founded in 1901 and now part of Madrid, Spain based The Flex Group, Vispring exports across the globe. All Vispring mattresses are hand-made to order in the company’s factory in Devon.
