DeLandis Adds Lift Chair Mechanism to Power Recliner Line

Motion upholstery producer DeLandis Furniture is entering the lift chair market by making power lift mechanisms available on its entire line of recliners.

The company said the lift chair technology is available on more than 50 leather and fabric power recliners, which retail for $499 to $699.

“For some time now, lift chairs have been stigmatized as the ugly stepsister of recliners in the room,” said Larry Crink, president of sales and product development for DeLandis. “Through our innovative changes to the mechanism, we’ve made it possible to marry the convenience of lift chair functionality with the stylish, well-designed aesthetic of our wide range of recliners. Any chair in our lineup can be ordered as a lift chair, and delivers on function and also style.”

In addition to lift chair functionality, the chairs offer an abundance of features including full-extension recline allowing for feet-up, head-down relaxation, as well as power head rests on many designs.

The chairs are also packaged in easy-to-deliver boxes that can be shipped via FedEx or UPS, Crink said.

He said the chairs work within DeLandis’ ability to mix multiple styles and colors in one shipping container, allowing retailers to build a complete leather motion program from a single resource.

DeLandis Furniture was established as a U.S. brand in 2013 through a partnership between Classic Brands, LLC and DeLandis, based in Quanzhou, China.
