Retailer Pier 1 Imports (NYSE: PIR) has recalled about 2,500 wicker chairs, settees and ottomans from its Temani collection because the paint violates the federal lead paint standard.
The recall, issued in conjunction with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, involves only the ivory-colored Temani collection. The agency said the furniture has the Pier 1 logo on the underside of each piece.
The CPSC said consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately and return them to any Pier 1 store for a full refund or merchandise credit.
The Indonesian-made products were sold at Pier 1 stores and online from March 2014 to April 2017 for between $140 and $560.
