The Home Furnishings Association said its next Leadership Immersion program, which offers young executives one-of-kind visits with best in class retailers, will take place June 20-22 at the headquarters of Hudson’s Furniture in Sanford, Fla.
The 2 ½-day program features an agenda developed to showcase the finely tuned operations of the retailer, including visits to the distribution center, corporate headquarters and a local retail storefront. Attendees also will have exclusive access to Hudson’s executives and key staff members.
“We are excited to have the chance to give back to the industry. When I was a young executive, I would have loved to have had an opportunity like the NGN Leadership Immersion Experience,” said owner Josh Hudson, “I know I’m going to learn from them too.”
The HFA previously has conducted the program at RC Willey Furniture in Salt Lake City; El Dorado Furniture in South Florida; and American Furniture Warehouse in Denver.
“HFA’s commitment to helping young retail professionals succeed is culminated in this program”, said Sharron Bradley, the organization’s CEO “More programs with best-in-class retailers are being planned for the fall of 2017 and beyond.”
“I have attended two Leadership Immersion Experiences and both have been amazing,” added Erin Donaghy of Dunk and Bright Furniture in Syracuse, N.Y. “The amount of information we are able to take in in just a couple of days is unbelievable. And networking with other participants proves to be invaluable as well.”
