Helms, Barrett, Rubin, Holland Honored by WithIt

Dana Helms, Megan Barrett, Randy Rubin and Laura Holland received key awards from WithIt, the women’s leadership development network, at the group’s annual Wow Awards dinner.

Rubin, the co-founder of Crypton Fabrics, received the Leadership Award in recognition of her successful leadership in her company and the home furnishings industry.

Helms, of MicroD, was presented the Mentoring Award for her efforts to foster mentoring, development and promotion of women in her company and the industry, while Barrett, of Sherrill Furniture, received the Future Leader Award. The Future Leader Award honors a woman under 40 who has demonstrated outstanding achievement and has demonstrated leadership potential.

Holland, vice president of marketing and communications at Heritage Home Group, received the education award for her efforts to educate consumers, retailers and associates about the home furnishings industry.

Two other award winners who had been announced previously – Norwalk Furniture President Caroline Hipple and Kimberley Wray, owner of Kimberley Wray Marketing Communications -- also were honored at the dinner.

Hipple received the Legacy Award, WithIt’s highest honor, for her long-standing support of the organization. She has served on the group’s board of directors and governors, spoke at multiple industry events, and mentored numerous future leaders.

Wray received the Founders Award, which recognizes exceptional leadership that exemplifies the mission of WithIt.

Wray, one of WithIt’s founders, developed the WithIt acronym and used her extensive industry contacts to build its membership.
