Dutch Producer Eichholtz Opens U.S. Warehouse

Eichholtz, a Dutch manufacturer of high-end furniture, lighting and accessories, has opened a U.S. warehouse to facilitate the expansion of its U.S. and Canadian distribution.

The Netherlands-based company, which is showing for the second time at the High Point Market this week, also is adding to its sales force in the two countries.

Eichholtz has partnered with Pioneer Commodities as its exclusive logistics service provider and will service all domestic orders from an expansive New Jersey warehouse, allowing for quicker turnaround times and pre-established freight costs for U.S. and Canadian buyers.

The company said this North American distribution hub will also be bolstered by a wider, and more localized sales network.

“We look forward to expanding our relationships with several targeted accounts ranging from national retailers to independent stores, interior designers and architects, to hotels and restaurants,” said Jay van Galen Last, manager of operations and business development. “Our experience is that a very limited number of customers from North America visit the European interior home exhibitions where Eichholtz has among the largest presence. We look forward flipping that trend by participating in the country’s leading exhibition and bringing our exclusive, luxurious design collections to the American market,”

“In terms of logistics,” he added, “we have listened to our customers on how to optimally service them. For the U.S. and Canadian markets, we are confident that our broad, beautifully-crafted collection is now backed by easy turnkey logistics and fulfillment, which sets the foundation for our longer-term plans to grow our brand internationally.”

Eichholtz’s High Point showroom is InterHall space 207. The company is hosting a cocktail reception on Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5-7 p.m.
