Cresent to Launch Solid Wood Custom Dining Program

Solid wood bedroom and dining room producer Cresent Fine Furniture is launching its first custom dining program at this week’s High Point Market, promising 30-day shipping for custom orders from its Tennessee factory.

Called BenchMark Custom Dining, the company said the program builds on Cresent’s 70-year history of making high-quality solid wood furniture. The BenchMark products will be assembled and custom finished by a team of experienced craftsmen at the factory, officials said.

The new program includes round and rectangular tables featuring solid Appalachian Maple that range from 48 inches to 100 inches. They will be available with a range of leg, pedestal, and trestle base options.  The tables can be paired with five chairs and two sizes of benches that also feature custom leg and seat options, including Crypton stain-resistant upholstery.

In keeping with Cresent’s commitment to sustainability, all the BenchMark items will be finished in non-toxic water-based coatings.  Additionally, the 15 paints and stains will feature catalyzed topcoats to meet the durability needs of today’s lifestyles.

“We are very excited to bring BenchMark dining to the April High Point Market,” said John Cash, vice president of sales and marketing.   “We can think of no better way to celebrate Cresent’s 70th anniversary than to showcase the history and expertise of our long-term employees, combined with our long commitment to sustainability and solid wood craftsmanship.”

Third-generation owners Taylor and Jody Condra echoed Cash.  “Although many things have changed in the 70 years since our grandfather founded Cresent, one thing has been consistent — our commitment to building the best value solid wood furniture in the industry.  We believe that our years of expertise in solid wood manufacturing, sourcing and environmentally-friendly finishing will show in the excellent quality and value of the BenchMark dining selections.”

Cresent’s High Point showroom is in 220 Elm, space 201.
