Mill Village Collective Welcomes 25 Market Exhibitors

More than 25 exhibitors, including several who are making their High Point Market debut, are opening showrooms this week at Mill Village Collective, a former textile mill at 1014 Mill Ave., off South Elm Street.
The renovated 240,000 square-foot showroom building is a joint venture between Tim Branscome, principal of Branscome International Group, and Cisco Brothers, a high-end furniture resource that will continue to exhibit there as an anchor tenant on the ground floor.
Branscome said the facility aims to create a destination for connecting High Point Market attendees with leading edge and design-forward exhibitors.
“We think ‘the edge of Market’ is an apt metaphor for our show-in-show experience,” said Branscome. “Our showrooms are only a five-minute drive from downtown. We’re offering a stage where buyers and guests are welcome to relax, learn and experience new ideas, and discover new resources.”
Beyond exhibitor product offerings and custom services, visitors to Mill Village Collective are invited to access co-working spaces, live demonstrations, complimentary Wi-Fi, an outdoor lounge, evening networking events and free parking.
Transportation options include Market’s free, Go Anywhere vans shuttle service, including pick-up and drop-off at the Main Transportation Terminal on Commerce Ave., or by calling 336-887-RIDE (7433) to request pick-up at a specific location within three miles of High Point.
Mill Village Collective will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Monday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Food trucks, including Brown Truck Micro-brewery, will be on site Friday through Monday evenings.
First-time exhibitors situated on the showroom building’s upper floor include:
PrintTheFuture – On-demand, 3D printing of customizable furnishings and décor objects. Live demonstration at Mill Village, following the highly publicized, month-long pop up event in NYC.
Rock Paper Robot – Design and engineering boutique specializing in kinetic furnishings. CEO Jessica Banks earned a Master’s degree in robotics and is a TED Talks presenter.
Organic Modernism – Functional mid-century-inspired furniture label, founded in Brooklyn.
Schuster – Furnishings and accent items from award-winning Brazilian designers.
Dry Dock Electric –LED-filament lightbulbs in vintage classic and modern styles.
Local companies, also exhibiting on the upper floor, include Buzzi-Space, which produces modern workspace furnishings, Splash Works, photographer Ron Royals, Red Egg (in an ancillary location), Lumina Products Inc., Ecoflame, and Brian Studio.
