Upholstery Producer Bauhaus Adds Occasional Tables

Upholstery producer Bauhaus Furniture is expanding its product portfolio to include a selection of occasional tables that coordinate with its upholstery offerings.

The company said it will unveil 11 table groups at this month’s High Point Market in a wide range of styles that include mid-century modern and farmhouse designs. The occasional collections will coordinate with Bauhaus’ traditional, transitional and contemporary upholstery frames debuting at the market.

“Our new tables are a perfect complement to our growing upholstery offerings,” said Aaron Larry, senior vice president of sales and merchandising for Bauhaus. “By branching out and expanding into other categories, we’re giving our retail partners the ability to help consumers create homes they love. Our new showroom, which is significantly larger than the previous one, will provide more than enough space to display this new category.”

The company’s new showroom is in suite 200 of the Atrium on Main, 430 S. Main St.

Highlights of the new occasional category include the Boden Group, which offers mid-century modern styling and features drawer fronts with concave design details accented with knob hardware; and the Kalmar tables, which have traditional farmhouse styling and pair with four new slipcover upholstery groups making their debut this market. Design details include a planked top, X-slats and casters.

In addition, the Lund Cocktail Table rests on casters, making it the ideal pull-up table for an extra surface where needed. A bottom shelf provides extra space for display or storage.

Other key introductions include the Stockholm table group, which has planked wood tops and industrial-styled casters; and the Trosa occasional tables, which have transitional styling with geometric bases that feature two interlocking rectangles supporting wood-framed glass table tops.
