Hall of Fame Launches 2017 Membership Drive

The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation has launched its 2017 membership drive, seeking new members who believe in honoring pioneers in all areas of the industry, preserving its history, interacting with other leaders, and helping chart the future.

The foundation said membership is open to all segments of the home furnishings industry, including retail, manufacturing, sales representatives and suppliers.

“By joining the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation, you are coming together with other industry leaders who have selflessly served and shaped our incredible industry,” said Bob Maricich, Foundation board president. “Each year, we honor the very best of those who have come before us. We’re excited about the new members who will join us, as we have an energizing and transformational future ahead of us.”

During the past few years, the Hall of Fame has begun a concentrated focus on preserving, as well as honoring, the legacies of those who have made exceptional contributions to their companies, their communities, and the home furnishings industry.

“The great entrepreneurs and leaders who built our industry deserve a more permanent memorialization, and we intend to address that with future proceeds from our banquet,” Maricich said. “Increased membership and participation can make that a reality.”

Members can choose from three membership levels, which begin at $250, each with corresponding benefits. Memberships can be purchased at www.aspiretolead2017.com

Foundation members are able to nominate candidates to be inducted into the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame. Memberships also help fund the initiatives of the Foundation, including collecting and preserving artifacts and the oral histories of our leaders and pioneers.

Membership fees are fully tax deductible donations to the Hall of Fame, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization.

Maricich said the Hall of Fame is the only organization that embraces every category of the home furnishings industry throughout the world, and its current board of directors reflects the industry’s growing diversity and international reach.

“The 2016 Hall of Fame Induction Celebration was a tremendous success and was a testament to how revitalized membership delivers big results,” he said. “In addition to record attendance and a wonderful evening honoring fabulous inductees, we brought the industry together for an evening where old friends reconnected and the leaders of the future joined the celebration. No other organization offers the same opportunity for such visibility and access to the industry’s most successful and influential individuals.”
