App Developer Introduces Ava, Super Tool for Designers

App developer Morpholio has unveiled a new kind of document for interior designers. Ava, short for Automated Visual Assembly, aims to streamline the interior design process by allowing the user to navigate seamlessly between visually appealing presentation boards and detailed, editable data spreadsheets.
For interior design projects there are three separate and tedious presentations to be created: the design or mood board for the client, the book of cut sheets and specs for the drawing set, and the product list for purchasing. On a desktop computer, each is independent and created with different programs, which is inefficient and time consuming causing design budgets to shrink.
Using Ava, designers can create a design board of images, and then flip it over to reveal an editable spreadsheet of its contents. With another flip, a book of customizable cut sheets is shown, offering already made and ready to export and present documents. Ava streamlines workflow and ensures consistency between formats.
“Interior design thrives on texture, color, collage, and storytelling,” said Anna Kenoff, co-creator of Morpholio.“These days our boards are filled more and more with inspiration images from Pinterest, in addition to swatches and samples. What lies ahead for designers are tools like Ava that make it easy and pleasurable to move between the real and the digital.”
