2017 by Larry Thomas in Industry, Special Events
The highly-acclaimed awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who achieve extraordinary business performance and demonstrate exemplary commitment to their businesses and communities.
“I’m honored and humbled to be considered for this award,” Malouf said. “I feel like much of the credit should go to my wife, Kacie, who was a huge part of the company’s founding and remains a big part of its continued success, and to the people who come to work every day with incredible dedication and enthusiasm.”
Sam Malouf was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges consisting of entrepreneurial leaders, investors, and other prominent business executives.
Now in its 31st year, the EY Entrepreneur of the Year program has expanded to recognize business leaders in over 145 cities and more than 60 countries.
Sam Malouf founded the company in 2003 with his wife Kacie while he was in college. Their vision led them to create high quality sleep products at an affordable price for customers. The company said it regularly has recorded triple-digit, year-over-year growth and packed showrooms.
Award winners will be announced at a black-tie gala on June 10 in Salt Lake City.
