Even though housing and energy prices have risen slightly recent years, prices for furniture, appliances and other home furnishings products have declined steadily since 2010, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The data showed that decorative accessories recorded the biggest price drop during that period -- 29.1% -- while living room, kitchen and dining room furniture prices were down 3.9%.
Bedroom furniture and bedding, which are combined in the report, were down 4.9%.
