Jerome's Cited for Omnichannel Retail Efforts

San Diego-based Jerome's Furniture was honored with the Best In Class Omni-Channel Retail Award at the annual eTail West conference earlier this month.
The award, which was given by a panel of retail industry peers, cited Jerome's in-store shopping experience, its website, and its digital marketing efforts.
“We place a great deal of emphasis on delivering unparalleled customer experience across all fronts; from our website and customer service call-in centers to the friendly, no-hassle atmosphere of our showrooms,” said Brian Woods, CEO of Jerome’s. “Being recognized for this effort at eTail West is a great honor and speaks very highly of the dedication of everyone in the Jerome’s Family. I couldn’t be more proud of them."
The eTail awards program is in its fifth year, recognizing the "best of the best" retailers in email, search, social media, website design, omnichannel and mobile commerce. The judges are made up of a panel of retail industry peers who voted on their top picks in each category.
"We’re doing this by leveraging Augmented Reality technology on our website,” said Scott Perry, senior vice president of digital marketing, IT and Omnichannel at Jerome's. “This enables customers to view how the furniture would look in their home through their mobile device. Additionally, we launched a Smart Shopper App, where customers can scan QR codes posted by every item in the showroom to view online reviews, videos and detailed product specs as they shop. The app can also track orders and create shopping lists.”
