Capel Unveils Keepsake Centennial Catalog Celebrating 100 Year Anniversary

Capel Rugs, the oldest privately owned rug manufacturer and importer in the U.S., has published a special centennial edition of its product catalog in honor of its 100th anniversary celebration this year.

Themed "100 Years of Heritage in Every Rug", the 334-page catalog includes a variety of unique features spotlighting the company’s many achievements over the course of its long, storied history. Also included is an engaging 100 Reasons to Celebrate Capel Rugs list that runs throughout the catalog, as well as illustrated timelines of company and cultural milestones from the past century.

"We had so much fun going through our archives for this one-of-a-kind, memorable catalog," said Mary Clara Capel, director of marketing and one of the four 3rd-generation Capel family members that run the company. 

"We’ve created a lot of wonderful memories over our 100 years in business and, in a section at the front of the catalog, we share this rich history by highlighting some of our favorite stories, accomplishments and vintage photos," Capel said.

At the same time, Capel’s latest catalog also contains a wealth of information about the company’s entire line of current products offering a comprehensive assortment of styles, constructions and price points.

Designed for dealer, designer and consumer use, the catalog is available both in print and online. This latest edition is designed to be especially consumer friendly, providing insights on rug design, color and construction trends, a glossary of rug terms and more.

The catalog’s opening pages are devoted to the company’s highly successful licensing program. The catalog concludes with a chapter on “Sales Tools” a compendium of available sales, design and display tools to help retailers merchandise the Capel line.

"Our 2017 Capel catalog provides a one-stop shopping source for retailers, designers and consumers that’s well organized, easy to use and full of information and inspiration," said Cameron Capel, vice president of national accounts. 

"Our ability to mix the old and the new — the expected and the unexpected — has kept our line fresh and relevant for generations, and this catalog represents the latest step in our journey as an industry leader," Capel said.

Throughout the catalog, easy-to-recognize graphic icons provide quick identification of price ranges and details on made-in-North Carolina and U.S Rugs, as well as rugs that are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The catalog also includes scannable QR codes that provide instant links for virtual tours of the company’s High Point and Atlanta showrooms. 

Now being mailed to dealers nationwide, Capel’s new catalog will make its official debut during the April 22 to 26 High Point Market. Print catalogs are available for purchase and digital versions can be downloaded free at
