Charles Billingsley to Keynote Furniture Fellowship Prayer Breakfast

Charles Billingsley, one of Christian music’s most captivating inspirational voices, will keynote the 23rd annual Furniture Fellowship Prayer Breakfast on Friday, April 21, at the International Home Furnishings Center Ballroom.

The prayer breakfast, which has taken place annually before the High Point spring market since 1994, begins at 7 a.m. and will end promptly at 8 a.m.

Billingsley is a worship leader who oversees the music ministry the 24,000-member Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Va. He also is an artist-in-residence at the nation’s largest Christian College, Liberty University.

“I’m looking forward to discussing our higher calling and purpose beyond profit margins and building a business,” Billingsley said, noting that the Scriptural admonition to “Work at whatever you do with all your heart, as though working for the Lord and not men,” will serve as the theme of his message.

“A lifestyle of worship applies to every aspect of life: to working, playing, relationships and finances. A lifestyle of worship involves the integrity of every decision and the character of every conversation. It is what we were created for,” said Billingsley.

For the last two years, he has hosted his own nationally syndicated radio series, “Words on Worship,” which is broadcast on more than 300 stations and online.

Leading in music and worship at the breakfast will be HopeCity Music. The team of writers, singers, musicians and worshipers based in central North Carolina declare that their mission is “to use their talent and passion to glorify and pursue the presence of God and bring all who will join along on the journey.”

Industry professionals will present the opening and closing prayers, and New Testament and Old Testament Scripture readings.

Individual tickets for the breakfast are $30. A table for eight people is available for $240 and a half-table for four people is $120. General Breakfast Sponsorships are available for contributions of $100, $250, $550 or more.

Reservations are encouraged as soon as possible. For online reservations and payment, visit www.furniturefellowshipbreakfast.com.  Registration also is available by contacting Teresa Huffman of Culp. Inc. at TAHuffman@culp.com or 336.888-6281 by April 14.

The event is sponsored by the Furniture Fellowship Board, headed by Co-Chairmen Karen McNeill and Alan Cole. Other board members are Rob Culp, Teresa Huffman, Kevin O’Connor, Kim Shaver, Kimberly Wray, Cindy Hall, Anna Jolly, Jason Blalock, Page Wilson, Reyna Moore, Will Sharp, Larry Smith and Randy Austin.
