Eclipse, Eastman House Donate 212 Mattresses to Children’s Group

Bedding suppliers Eclipse International and Eastman House recently donated 212 mattress sets to Beds for Kids, a Charlotte, N.C.-based non-profit group that provides beds to children and their families who often sleep on floors each night.

Partnering with ticking and flame barrier supplier Precision Textiles, Eclipse and Eastman House donated the beds for the program, while Precision Textiles donated pillows and provided transportation of the products.

“We understand the impact healthy sleep habits can have on a child’s ability to thrive in school and in life,” said Stuart Carlitz, CEO of Eclipse International and Eastman House. “Our entire organization is thrilled that we were able to be part of the great work Beds for Kids does. Beds for Kids does an amazing job, and we were greatly impressed with its passion.”

Beds for Kids works with thousands of families each year, and since 2011, the organization has delivered 5,737 beds and 51,719 pieces of furniture to families who use pallets of blankets as beds each night.
