Mattress Veteran Scott Denton Named President of Dormeo

Denton brings over 20 years of bedding industry experience and leadership skills to Dormeo. Most recently, he was senior vice president of sales at Sinomax-USA, the majority owner of Dormeo. He spent the beginning of his career at Sealy before joining the King Koil.

Denton will report to Frank Chen, CEO of Sinomax-USA, who said he is pleased that Denton, with his extensive industry experience, has agreed to expand his role to include responsibilities as president of Dormeo.

“Scott is a leader in the bedding industry, with a proven track record in re-organizing and creating efficiencies and structure within manufacturing and sales, and establishing a high level of service, product quality, growth and overall profitability,” said Chen, “Scott brings not only years of experience to Dormeo but a clear understanding and knowledge of the industry to drive and implement best practices and alignment with Sinomax-USA resources and relationships to take Dormeo N.A. to the next level.”

Dormeo has been a leading mattress brand in Europe and Asia for more than a decade, and made its debut in North America in 2012. It features the patented Octaspring technology, which has individual memory foam springs that work together to form the core of the Octaspring mattress.

Its U.S. operations are based in Plano, Tex., and the company also has a warehouse in Winchester, Va.
