FastFact: Sluggish GDP, Employment Growth Hamper Furniture Sales

A slowdown in Gross Domestic Product growth and employment growth has contributed to lackluster furniture sales -- particularly in the third quarter of 2016 -- according to data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
The data showed real GDP growth has continued to decline since the first quarter of 2015, while employment growth slowed in each of the first three quarters of last year.
