North Carolina artist Bob Timberlake and Century Furniture have designed a special anniversary edition furniture piece to help celebrate Timberlake’s 80th birthday.
The Timberlake organization said the hand-crafted artisan design will be unveiled at the April High Point Market, and will be available for sale through the Bob Timberlake Gallery and other Century Furniture dealers.
Century, which holds a licensing agreement with Timberlake, will announce details of the anniversary product at a later date.
The furniture is part of a year-long celebration of Timberlake’s birthday. The celebration will feature an exhibit, “Eight Decades of Art and Inspiration,” that will open May 5 at the Bob Timberlake Gallery in Lexington, N.C.
The exhibit includes over 80 original paintings from Bob Timberlake’s award-winning career, and will change throughout the year. It will include new paintings currently in the works.
In addition, Timberlake is completing his 9th book, “Bob Timberlake’s Letter to Home.” The book is scheduled to release in April at a special book signing event at the High Point Market. The book will also be available for sale at the Bob Timberlake Gallery and at other book signing events.
The Bob Timberlake Gallery is currently coordinating with various organizations to honor Bob and his charitable endeavors that include: Boy Scouts of America, International Furnishings and Design Assn., The Land Trust for Central North Carolina, Carolina Decoy Collector’s Assn., Old Baldy Foundation, North Carolina Wildlife Habitat Foundation, North Carolina Watercolor Society, and Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma.
