Hayneedle.com, an online retailer of indoor and outdoor home furnishings and décor, said it is expanding its operations in Monroe, Ohio, with a new 994,000-square-foot fulfillment center to continue to position itself for long-term, strategic growth.
The new facility, Hayneedle’s third overall and second in Monroe, will bring more than 100 new jobs to the area and increase the company’s national fulfillment footprint to more than 2 million square feet. The new operation is expected to open in June.
Hayneedle officials said the expansion is not only a testament to the company’s commitment to the city of Monroe and state of Ohio, but also to Hayneedle's multi-year plan to meet growing demand, maintain high levels of service to its customers, and support the success of its own product lines.
“Our new state-of-the-art facility is the next step in Hayneedle’s promise of providing the best online shopping experience for the home space,” said Tom Clement, vice president of operations.
The new facility is located just five miles from Hayneedle’s existing 721,000-square-foot Monroe fulfillment center.
“While we looked at other regional options, growing with the city of Monroe will allow us to continue to tap into the region’s strong talent pool, be good corporate partners to the community, and provide first-class service to our customers, which is our ultimate goal,” said Dave Woods, senior director of fulfillment.
