Certification Group Issues New Organic Latex Standards

Control Union, The Netherlands-based quality control and logistics organization, has unveiled the newest version of the Global Organic Latex Standard for both latex foam components and finished products.

Components and products meeting the revised standards, known as GOLS 3.0, are allowed to use the “certified organic” latex label.

The new standards require, among other things, that latex foam is made with a 95% latex rubber sap content from organic certified rubber tree plantations.
