2017 by Larry Thomas in Industry, Licensing
Ready-to-assemble furniture resource Bush Furniture has extended its licensing agreement with kathy ireland Worldwide for a line of office furniture that recently passed the $100 million mark in sales.
The new agreement, which runs through 2023, covers the kathy ireland Office line, said Mike Evans, Bush Furniture’s chief marketing officer.
"We were thrilled to be awarded with the exclusive license for kathy ireland Office several years ago," said Evans. "We knew then that a partnership with kiWW, one of the most successful brands in the world, presented a tremendous and unique opportunity for our company. Our sales projections were doubled and we are now celebrating a major milestone.”
The line features Bush’s proprietary “quick-to-assemble” technology, which both parties believe has helped drive sales.
"The Bush team and their QTA technology are extraordinary," said Ireland, CEO and chief designer at kathy Ireland Worldwide. “Many, many years ago, we tried and failed in the direct-to-business channel. With Bush, we're winning.
“We are outselling so many leading brands. Our on-trend design work, in-stock positioning and customer connection has powerful results,"
Later this year, the line will be expanded with the launch of a collection aimed at Millennials, the company said.
