Report: Former Heritage Home CEO Buys High-End Furniture Maker

Ira Glazer, former CEO of Heritage Home Group, has acquired Edward Ferrell + Lewis Mittman, a producer of high-end, hand-crafted furniture targeted to interior designers, according to a report in Editor At Large, an online newsletter for the residential interior design industry.

The report said Glazer acquired the company from Steve Mittman, who sold the company so he could focus on a hospitality furniture company he also owns.

Glazer become the first CEO of Heritage Home Group in 2013, when KPS Capital Partners formed the company after it acquired brands formerly owned by the bankrupt Furniture Brands International. He left the company in May 2013.

HHG’s brand portfolio includes Broyhill, Lane, Thomasville, Drexel Heritage, Henredon and Maitland Smith.
