A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is a nod to the environment and symbolic of new beginnings.
Greenery, or more specifically Pantone15-0343, is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens come alive. It’s nature’s neutral, according to Pantone, and is now being pulled to the forefront.
The addition of green into the home will be pushed by the desire to see something fresh in artwork and soft furnishings.
Laurie Pressman, Pantone Color Institute’s vice president said in an interview with Forbes, “There’s a growing desire to reconnect with Nature and what is real, and find ways to disconnect from technology. We need a break. We need to stop and breathe,” she said.  “(Greenery) is about unity and community – connecting to oneself and others and a higher purpose, Nature,” Pressman added.
Along with the unveiling of the color of the year, Pantone created a selection of 10 palettes with design implications, pairing Greenery with neutrals, brights, deeper shades, pastels and metallic. To view the palettes go to www.pantone.com
