Trica Furniture Lamp Wins Haimsohn Design Award

Two designs tied for first runner up in the design competition: The Venue Media Cabinet by Louis A. Lara for BDI Furniture; and the Vaya Chair by Ken Okuyama for Positive Posture.

The awards, named for the founder of CDG, were presented at the group’s annual conference in Tampa, Fla.

A panel of judges consisting of CDG retailer members evaluated nominees on originality, creativity, consumer appeal, use of materials, functionality, and manufacturing execution. A complete list and description of 2016 finalists is available at www.contemporarydesign.com/award
