Woodard Names Anniversary Rocker Winners

Bosse, general manager of SunSpot Pool and Patio in Arlington Heights, Ohio, was the lucky raffle winner who received the very first of the 150 limited edition Anniversary Rockers. Throughout the year, Woodard sold tickets at their Owosso, Mich., anniversary picnic, the Casual Market in Chicago and the High Point Market, with all proceeds from the ticket sales donated to Habitat for Humanity.

Darla Ladiski, also received a limited-edition Anniversary rocker, number 150. Ladiski was one of the many who participated in the Wear It and Win Facebook contest, in which participants were invited to upload photos of themselves, their kids, pets or others wearing a Woodard red 150th anniversary T-shirt, and sharing the hashtag #WinWithWoodard.

Visitors to the Woodard Facebook page voted on their favorite entry and the largest vote-getter, Ladiski, declared the winner. Ladiski works for Woodard in Owosso.

The third winner, Schultz, who also works for Woodard in Owosso, was drawn at random from the Facebook voting entries to win the first of the non-limited edition rockers, Anniversary Rocker 151. Schultz was also a Facebook contest entrant.

“The Wear It and Win contest was a fun way to engage our longtime, loyal Woodard customers, suppliers and employees in the anniversary festivities,” said Belinda Lavender, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Just as other Woodard products have been lovingly passed down through generations, we hope the Anniversary Rockers and Anniversary Rocker 151 will find a special place with our Woodard families for many generations.”

In recognition of their sesquicentennial celebration, Woodard created a limited-edition Anniversary Rocker and an open edition Anniversary Rocker 151 that are an adaptation of an indoor Woodard rocker from their historical archives.
