Ricketts Gets Leasing Post at Dallas Market Center

Derrick Ricketts, a former executive with high-end case goods and home décor resource Aidan Gray, has been named vice president of leasing for home & design at the Dallas Market Center.

Reporting to Eva Walsh, executive vice president of leasing, Ricketts will be responsible for the strategic merchandising and leasing of the home décor floors inside the five million square-foot market center.

Officials said home décor is the fastest growing of the major product segments at Dallas Market Center, buoyed by the nation’s leading housing market and its proximity to the fastest growing cities in the U.S.

In addition, customer traffic by the interior design community is the largest in the U.S., driven in part by year-round design events.

“As we expand our home décor marketplace and serve a growing customer base, Derrick’s industry knowledge and service mindset are important values,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “Furthermore, he is a respected and energetic professional with a reputation for going the extra mile.”

At Aidan Gray, Ricketts managed the internal and external sales teams, corporate showrooms, and the customer service department. He also was instrumental in promoting the brand and increasing the brand’s presence in retailers across the country.

Earlier, he served as Houston territory manager at Codarus and was responsible for negotiating real estate space within retail stores for leading home furnishings brands such as Pine Cone Hill, Bungalow 5, Abyss & Habidecor, and Lilli Alessandra. He is a two-time ARTS Award winner for Midwest/Southwest sales representative.
