All-American Furniture Expo Moves to Larger Venue in 2017

The All-American Furniture Expo, which has been held in Lancaster, Pa., since its founding in 2010, is moving to a larger venue in York, Pa., for the 2017 event.

Show organizers said next year’s event will take place Aug. 2-3 in the Utz Building at the York Expo Center.

“This move has been a long time coming,” said show manager Wanda Gregg. “In 2016, we had to turn manufacturers away due to lack of space, and buyers have been requesting more upholstered furniture. Holding our show at the York Expo Center gives us the space to benefit more manufacturers, while also offering buyers the products they are looking for.”

She said the move will almost double the amount of booth space and give more manufacturers the opportunity to exhibit with them. For buyers, this move will expose them to more manufacturers of a wide variety of strictly American-made furniture, she explained.

She also said the Utz Building is surrounded by large parking lots, and noted the new parking options also give buyers the opportunity to bring a truck and trailer to take their favorite pieces back to their store.

“The increase in parking was a huge upside for us as we chose this new building. It makes booth setup much easier for manufacturers, and will encourage more buyers to attend the show,” said Gregg.

Previously held at the Lancaster Convention Center, the expo has featured up to 90 American hardwood and upholstered furniture manufacturers.
